Wheel Specifications
The Classic Mini uses a unique 4 × 101.6 mm (4 × 4 inch) PCD — one of the smallest of any production car. Standard fitment changed through the years from 3.5J to 4.5J width, and aftermarket options range from 4J to 7J.
Standard factory wheel specifications:
- 1959–1970: 3.5J × 10, 4 × 101.6 PCD, ET22 — painted steel
- 1961–1971 Cooper S: 4.5J × 10, 4 × 101.6 PCD, ET22 — Dunlop alloy
- 1970–1990s: 4.5J × 10, 4 × 101.6 PCD — various alloy options
- Rover Cooper (1990–2000): 5.5J × 12 optional, special PCD adapters required
Popular aftermarket wheels:
- Minilite-style 5J × 10 — period-correct competition look
- Revolution 5J × 10 — motorsport classic
- MOTS 4.5J × 10 — faithful replica of Dunlop original
- Wolf Race Circuit 5.5J × 10 — wider stance
Note: fitting wheels wider than 5J may require arch rolling or flares. Always check brake caliper clearance on Cooper S models.
